It's an early start as we depart Airlie Beach at 3:30 a.m. to observe kangaroos on the beach during sunrise at the stunning Cape Hillsborough National Park. Located 1.5 hours south of Airlie Beach, the beach at Cape Hillsborough is renowned worldwide for its sunrise kangaroo and wallaby encounters. Every morning, these animals come down to feed on seaweed and mangrove seed pods, often happily posing for photos.
