Overview

Join us for a short small group tour to the famous Goðafoss Waterfall, one of the most popular tourist destination in North Iceland.​ On the way back to Akureyri we drive along the coast of Eyjafjordur, one of the longest fjords in Iceland where you can see over the fjord to Akureyri and take a great photo. From there, we stop at the Forest Lagoon, a geothermal spa resort located across from Akureyri. It includes infinity pools with swim-up bars, a sauna and a cold tub and offers great views across the Eyjafjordur fjord.

Pickup Information!If you are arriving in Akureyri by cruise ship, please ensure you have provided us with the name of your vessel, as there are multiple ports in Akureyri.Tangabryggja Port: Just outside the cruise ship area, you will see several small wooden houses. Star Travel is located at house number 3, and we will meet you there.Oddeyrarbryggja Port: Right outside the ship, you will find an Icewear shop. Next to it is the designated agent area where all tour agents wait for their customers. We will be there with a Star Travel sign. Look for one of our colleagues wearing a bright yellow jacket.If you are staying in Akureyri, please ensure you have selected the correct accommodation for pickup.Lastly, please make sure the phone number you provided is reachable in case we need to contact you with any updates or changes.

Godafoss

Goðafoss Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. Nicknamed the Waterfall of the Gods due to its history. In the year 1000, Þorgeir Ljósvetningagoði made Christianity the official religion of Iceland and proceeded with throwing his statues of gods into the waterfall.The water falls from a height of 12 meters over a width of 30 meters.
