Aristotle's Lyceum, established in 335 BCE, was a pivotal center for philosophical and scientific study in ancient Athens. Located near the Ilissos River and east of the Acropolis, it was here that Aristotle founded his Peripatetic School, named after the covered walkways (perípatos) where he and his students engaged in discussions.
