Overview

The tour is a guided walk through the grounds of the memorial site of the former "model concentration camp of the Reich capital," Sachsenhausen, which was later also used as a "Soviet special camp."

Built in 1936 during the Olympic Games in Berlin, Sachsenhausen also served as a training facility for the camp SS. Additionally, it housed the central administrative office of the SS, the "Inspection of Concentration Camps."

Gedenkstatte und Museum Sachsenhausen

For the visit to the memorial site, we will travel together by public transport from Berlin to Oranienburg (approx. 50 minutes). From there, we will walk about 20 minutes to the memorial site. We will use the same route for the return journey.
