What To Expect

Would you like to experience drinking Turkish coffee like a local; discover local herbs & lokum (Turkish delight) and learn why they are so special in our culture?

Firstly, we will sit in a Turkish coffee shop to discover how, where and when to drink Turkish coffee. I am going to explain how to cook, how to drink with our 5 senses, make fortune-telling from the coffee grounds & tell you stories behind the tradition.

Secondly, we visit a local ‘lokum’ store to experience our deep tradition & listen more stories.

After a short walk in the old Bodrum streets, we arrive the shop of a modern herbalist who carries ancestors' knowledge with years of experience & brings them to the modern age.

Here we witness how Turkish coffee is brewed with traditional methods & we get information about the herbs and spices of Anatolia, which is an important center of natural healing resources in the world, and get answers to your questions about alternative treatment methods. We will also have knowledge about spices, herbal oils, pure soaps, herbal teas & Turkish tea.
