Our guides are very knowledgeable, have lots of experience, speak very good English (some of them other languages as well), drive very comfortable, modern cars (Subaru Forester, Skoda Superb, Renault Laguna, Mercedes Benz Vito, etc) with air conditioning. We will usually meet you in the hotel lobby or in front of your hotel. Please note on Monday and sometimes on Tuesday the salt mines are closed! If you wish to take the tour on Monday or Tuesday we can replace the salt mines with another attraction, such as Snagov Monastery. Also, if it rains a lot and the Muddy volcanoes are not accessible or if your tour takes place in the winter and the Muddy volcanoes cannot be reached during daytime because of the driving distance, we can replace it with another attraction such as Snagov Monastery

What To Expect

Unirea Salt Mine

We visit the Unirea Salt Mine from Slanic - Prahova, the largest salt mine in Europe, located 208 m under the ground. Inside the mine you can find a small history museum, a soccer field, a children's playground and many other interesting things. It is breathtaking to be walking inside the mine; there are just a few places in the world where you can admire such a huge underground structure! The height of the main gallery is 54 m.
