Overview

This unique private tour not only covers the major sights of ancient Budapest and modern Pest but also provides you with a first-hand experience of why locals love their city so much.

By spending a leisurely day with us, you will experience and enjoy the city life with insights that no guidebook can provide. During this 8-hour tour, participants will have the opportunity to meet locals by using Budapest's excellent public-transportation system, including the first underground in continental Europe, and the city's unique river cruise service on the Danube.

Throughout the day, we will make stops at wonderful terraces and cafés for coffee and meals, giving you an opportunity to discuss what you have seen and ask any questions about Hungary and its people.

You also have the option to include a river boat journey with your guide, where you can enjoy and learn about the Hungarian capital from the unique perspective of the Danube.

City Boat Tours wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That's why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.

On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You'll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.

If you see a Badge of Excellence label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through City Boat Tours over a 12-month period.

The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We're always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
