Fortunately, the platform overlooking the mangroves provides a great view too, so there are several ways to enjoy these beauties if the actual boardwalk is not opened yet when we have our tour.

Koombana Bay has surprised a few in the past with a history of shipwrecks occurring here - some call it Shipwreck Bay! But the meaning of 'Koombanah' is much nicer than that. This bay has a knack for shimmering under the morning sun and is where we are most likely to spot some dolphins during the run.
