Hiring a self-drive boat is a popular pastime with locals and visitors to Cairns. Enjoy fishing, sightseeing and even crocodile spotting along stunning Trinity Inlet. The Trinity Inlet is a beautiful estuary situated in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. The city center is on the western bank where the inlet meets the sea. No boat license is required to drive the pontoons, however the driver does need to be over 18 years.

Feb 2022If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
