Talavera pottery is more than 5 centuries old, it is known throughout the world since Felipe II commissioned all the tile work of the Alcázar in Madrid to Talavera potters and made ceramic tableware made fashionable among the nobility of the time. in Talavera.
To this day we continue to preserve this pottery tradition so famous in the 16th century and which in 2019 was recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Carrying out a ceramic craft workshop in the workshop itself is to participate in this process recognized by UNESCO as well as a unique, fun and very relaxing experience.

    What To Expect

    Visit a ceramic workshop in Talavera de la Reina, city of ceramics, where with the help of an artisan you will learn about ceramic techniques declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO and where you will paint an already glazed ceramic piece, either with the technique of the stencil or with your own design and that after cooking it will be given to you as a souvenir. You don't need to be a great painter, our craftswoman will help you with everything, but simply with the experience of being in a workshop of more than 50 years, she will make you value Talavera crafts and relax creating a work of art.
