What To Expect

A Seven Course 18th and 19th CENTURY DINING EXPERIENCE

Charleston’s two biggest passions are food and history. We combine those two passions as you transport yourself through time on our unique tour where you never have to leave your seat.
You will enjoy a generous seven course meal served in “service a la Francais.”
Each entree covers a different period of Charleston’s history, with food authentic to the times. It’s all fully narrated by your host and culinary historian, Mike Hebb. You
will not only taste Charleston’s history, you’ll also learn about domestic life, the walled city of Charlestowne, the Revolution, slavery, the Civil War, and Reconstruction and beyond.

You’ll also receive a free after hours visit to the South Carolina Historical Society Museum located at the Fireproof Building, the first fireproof building in our nation’s history.

You’ll get water and a glass of Madeira wine. All other drinks are BYOB. Bring your favorite bottle.

Gratuity is not included in the price of the meal. Feel free to leave what you like

City Boat Tours wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That's why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.

On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You'll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.

If you see a Badge of Excellence label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through City Boat Tours over a 12-month period.

The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We're always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
