Overview
We operate one of the best all-inclusive snorkel experiences on the island of Cozumel, traveling to some of the most beautiful areas the Caribbean has to offer - including the famous 'El Cielo'. We aim to visit 3 or 4 different destinations during the tour to give you a taste of what our beautiful island has to offer.
We provide everything you need to enjoy the tour with us, including freshly prepared Mexican snacks and ice-cold drinks. Just turn up and we'll take care of the rest!

Meeting and Pickup
Not suitable for infants or petsWe can make pick up at certain hotels piers (see the list). You only have to pay the pier taxes directly to your hotel.Our departure is at 9:30AM, midday, or 2:00PM from downtown. Collections from any hotels will be after these times - anywhere between 15 and 45 minutes, depending on the distance from the hotel. Note: The locations we have available at the hotel docks are for the use of the guests of the above mentioned hotels only.Our primary meeting point is in downtown Cozumel, to the South side of the ferry terminal underneath the giant flagpole (approximately 2 minutes walk). One of our staff will be there, clearly marked with our branded clothing and signage, to welcome you.For clients arriving by cruise ship from the S.S.A and Puerta Maya terminals, please select the 'Cid la Ceiba' hotel as your departure point, which is a few minutes walk from the Puerta Maya terminal and the SSA terminal door. You will only pay a tax of $3USD per passenger for use of this dock and we can gladly pick you up by boat. Our staff will meet you at the entrance of the hotel La Ceiba to accompany you to the catamaran, and assist you with paying the hotel.

What To Expect
Cozumel has some amazing locations for snorkeling, but there are some true hidden gems that won’t be soon forgotten. Our 4 hour guided tour will aim to take you to most of these incredible destinations – simply sit back and enjoy the ride!
All our comfortable boats are fully equipped with safety features, powerful well-maintained engines, and staffed by experienced crew. We also go that one-step further, providing you with top-notch snorkelling equipment, drinks and freshly-prepared snacks throughout the whole tour.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your sailing time. All times shown are for Cozumel’s local timezone, which may differ to your cruise ship timezone. Check before booking.
Please do not apply sunscreen immediately before or during the tour; 'reef safe' or 'coral safe' sunscreens only minimise damage and are not proven to be completely harmless to aquatic life. Many sunscreens also create slippery surfaces which can pose a hazard on our boats. We instead recommend using a long sleeve rash vest & hat.

Yes, we allow pregnant women to go on snorkeling. However, it’s crucial to consult with your healthcare provider before doing so to assess your individual health and pregnancy stage.
Jan 2022Yes, this is possible, as long as you are comfortable going into the water. All City Boat Tours snorkeling tours adhere to strict safety regulations and have been designed to be enjoyed by all.
Your safety is our #1 priority, which is why:
- You will be wearing a flotation device at all times.
- On many tours, there is a stairway from the boat into the water so you won’t have to “jump” in!
- There are trained staff in the water and watching from the boat at all times.
For these reasons, we believe that even non-swimmers can have a wonderful time on our snorkeling trips, however, the final judgment call is yours to make. Please note we do not give refunds if you decide not to snorkel on the trip.
Oct 2021The snorkel gear we use on City Boat Tours tours is high quality and for your protection, the equipment is sanitized after each use. However, if you feel more comfortable using your own snorkeling equipment, feel free to bring it on the tour. Please note, there is no discount for providing your own equipment and we can’t be responsible for any lost or damaged items.

Oct 2021There are no legal age limits for snorkeling. We have found that age 5 or 6 is a good age to learn the basics of snorkeling, however, it’s entirely up to individuals to make the best choice for their family.
Sep 2021- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the tour local time (EST).
