Overview

Our Tour begins from Elounda Village where we will take a short boat-ride to the Island of Spinalonga .
Spinalonga Island is the last leper colony of Europe , that originally the Venetians fortified the island in 1579 , by builinding a fortress with 40 cannons (the story says that there are the most well-preserved walls in Europe ) . The ruins of the Market street with the shops , the hospital and many small houses in which lepers lived isolated , can by explored on your own .
Our next stop will be the Village of Kritsa that we'll spent the next 1,5h , it's a beautiful small village in the mountains foothills , with narrow winding lanes and plenty of character . Renowned for the skill of the local weavers and embroiderers , many tourists visit just to see the beautiful lacework , table cloths and other cloths on display and for sale in the village .
Next and last stop will be at an Olive oil factory that you'll see how olive oil is made and bottled .

Approximately 1hour after the travelers are picked-up , we will arrive at Elounda Village , to begin our journey to the famous Island of Spinalonga . After we get off the bus , will get on board to start sailing to the Island of the living-dead .

From the Village of Elounda the Journey to Kritsa Village is Approx. 35'minutes . The Village of Kritsa ,which is located in the east of the Island Of Crete , located 10km from Agios Nicolaos in Lasithi Region . A beautiful small village in the mountain footihills , with narrow winding lanes and plenty of Character . Renowned for the skill of the locals weavers and embroiderers , many tourists visit the village just to see the beautyful art of Lacework , table clothes and other handmade cloths on display for sale in the village . This picturesque village is build into a hillside and it's very steep, adding to it's charm and scenery , however it was not build for modern cars . Nearby is the ruin of the Dorian city of Lato . Thought to have nominated in this area in the fifth and fourth century BC. The sojourn to Kritsa Village will be approx . 1hour and 15'minutes .
