Island of Šipan is your next destination, it's the largest island of them all. Šipan holds the Guinness world record for the biggest number of olive trees on one island. Historically, it was important to Dubrovnik Republic's noble families as it was their favorite summer residency. They built historical villas and summer homes there, and today you can enjoy in late-Gothic architecture. In a place called Suđurađ which is one of the ports too, many families decided to stay and keep the fisherman tradition. The reason behind this is that Šipan is the furthest from mainland, and tourism never succeeded to commercialise it. Basically, on Šipan you can see the actual local life and activities that locals do, not related to tourism. Kolocep Island

After Šipan, you're going to visit significantly smaller island of Koločep. It's not really widely inhabited, but the natural splendor of this island will leave you breathless. It is perfect for swimming and diving and it is rich in hidden bays. You can explore the island, find some interesting cliffs for jumping or nice locations for sunbathing! There are two typical Mediterranean villages on the island and you can easily walk from one to another and admire the rich vegetation of pine and olive trees.
