Overview

Croatia’s second longest peninsula Peljesac is famous for its red wine based on Plavac Mali wine sort (cousin of Zinfandel), delicious oysters and mussels growing in the brackish waters of Mali Ston Bay, Ston city walls, and its salt pans. It is less than an hour's drive from the city of Dubrovnik.

We have been doing this tour for years and our guests absolutely adore our fisherman friend Mario, and unique experience of being alone in the bay at our fisherman's oyster beds and tasting best oysters in Mali Ston right from the sea.

You'll enjoy:
- Walking tour of Ston – Gothic medieval town, surrounded by 6 kilometers of city walls and its famous 14. salt pans.

Our group will be welcomed by local fisherman Mario and will ride in his boat through the picturesque calm Mali Ston Bay to Mario's oyster beds followed by oyster tasting on site (5 oysters per person accompanied with Mario's home made white wine). Group will learn about oyster farming and hear curiosities about people and customs of the area.

Best place to try Plavac Mali - famous red wine variety of the area is Ponikve village. Ponikve valley is known for wine production from 13 ct. (Dubrovnik medieval aristocrats were often drinking delicious red wines from Ponikve).
