Lindores Distillery is known as the "Spiritual Home of Scotch Whisky". The Abbey dates back to 1191, and was visited by various monarchs and historical figures, such as David II, Edward I of England, Robert the Bruce, and Scotland’s national hero William Wallace. The first documented reference to whisky making at the Abbey dates from 1494 - over half a millennium ago!You can take an optional tour and whisky tasting at the Distillery. We will need to book the 12:30 slot, which is the only one that fits within our schedule.
