What To Expect

You will mush on a tag sled- a sled attached to the rear of the main sled in dog mushing. The tag sled allows you to practice steering and staying upright without having responsibility to control the dog team. You and your guide the Alaskan Huskies from our Race kennel in our dog yard will take you out for a couple of hours With our Iditarod and Yukon Quest mushers or our outdoor guides you are taking off. The tag sled allows two people on it. So you switch place between you and your partner halfways if there are more people than you.
You have the possibility to take some pictures with you and the dogs. Enjoy the solitude of Alaska and experience the connection with the Dogs .Learn how to use the brake and how to lean in the turns on sometimes tricky trails. Feel the dog power.Secure the sled and helping breaking down the speed of the dog team when it is going downhill.
The tour starts at 10 am in our dog yard with the presentation and it ends around 2 pm with a warm beverage and cookies i our cozy yurt.
You will get a great insights in the art of mushing and maybe you even get the taste for longer Trips on your own sled with your own team with the skills you already learned.

City Boat Tours wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That's why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.

On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You'll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.

If you see a Badge of Excellence label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through City Boat Tours over a 12-month period.

The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We're always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
