The Leaning Tower of Pisa, famous for its tilt, is the bell tower of the Cathedral of Pisa, located in Tuscany, Italy. Built in Romanesque style, its construction began in 1173 and lasted almost 200 years. Approximately 56 meters high, the tower consists of eight floors, including the bell tower, and is made of white marble. Its slope, caused by a subsidence of the sandy soil, was evident from the first years of construction. Today the inclination is approximately 3.97 degrees.
