Embark on a challenging yet rewarding full-day hike to the summit of Avalanche Peak (10,538'). This strenuous adventure begins with a 2-hour scenic drive to the trailhead (departure at 7:00 am). Hike through a breathtaking old-growth white bark pine forest, steadily gaining elevation to reach the awe-inspiring summit. From the top, be rewarded with panoramic views of Yellowstone Lake and the majestic Absaroka Mountains – a truly unforgettable sight! We'll return to Yellowstone Forever Headquarters by 4:00 pm.
