Than proceed to Avanos town . This small town sits next to the Turkey’s longest river, Kizilirmak (Red River).We’ll Explore today’s fascinating culture. The art, creativity and endeavor of it’s men and women manifest in its pottery and rug weavings. Avanos is very well known with it’s red earthenware pottery that was first discovered by the Hittites during the Bronze Age. Since 2000 BC potters in the town has been obtaining red pottery clay from the river and with their marvellous touches clay turning into piece of arts on to primitive kickwheels. We will see a pottery studio set in a cave complex that also offers pottery-making demonstrations, and the chance to spin a bowl yourself.

Lunch in a stylish authentic cave restaurant.Amongst the main course varieties pottery kebap is highly recommended. It is an Anatolian speciality prepared in a clay pot or jug. Traditionally cooked in a tandoor or clay oven, the pot is sealed with bread dough and left to simmer in its own juices for hours.
