What To Expect

Our Lady of the Rocks

According to legend, the islet was made over the centuries by local seamen who kept an ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and Child on the rock in the sea on July 22, 1452. Upon returning from each successful voyage, they laid a rock in the Bay. Over time, the islet gradually emerged from the sea.[4] The custom of throwing rocks into the sea is alive even nowadays. Every year on the sunset of July 22, an event called fašinada in the local dialect, when local residents take their boats and throw rocks into the sea, widening the surface of the island, takes place.

Perast (Pass By)

According to the presumptions of the archaeologists, the first settlements appeared in the area of Perast in the Neolithic; There are also monuments of the Illyrian, Roman and early Christian periods. The city was founded by the Illyrians, named after one of the local tribes—Pirusti. The first memories of Perast refer to 1336—at that time there was a small fishing village, which had a shipyard, and there were always several commercial and fishing boats in the harbor. But since the strategically important island of St. George, which belonged to Kotor, is in the immediate vicinity, the development of Perast was going very slowly.

Blue Cave

People are classifying it as a natural jewel of the Mediterranean due to its natural origin. It is one of the largest in a series of caves in this peninsula, created at the foot of the 30 meters high cliffs, and is a result of thousands of years of sea waves crashing on porous rocks of Lustica. The cave has two openings, a smaller one on the south side and a larger one that’s 3 meters high and 15 meters wide, located on the southwest side. The larger opening enables entrance for barges and smaller ships into the cave, allowing tourists to witness the wonderful play of light in the waters of the Blue Cave. This natural hall, with a 9-meters-above-sea-level vault, is a unique stage for one of Mother Nature’s wonders that will leave visitors breathless.

City Boat Tours wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That's why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.

On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You'll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.

If you see a Badge of Excellence label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through City Boat Tours over a 12-month period.

The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We're always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
