Deep in the Podgórze district of Krakow lies an undeveloped, rolling and almost wild area, hiding a sinister history. Here, on the grounds of an old cemetery, during the war the Nazis set up one of their many death camps for the Jewish inhabitants of Krakow and the surrounding area - ``Konzentrationslager Plaszow bei Krakau''. Unlike the well-preserved Auschwitz, today you will not find barracks or railway frames here.
