Overview

The trip will start with a walk around the Krakow market square - we will find the most interesting monuments of the past and unravel their destiny, find out what events took place here, what legendary people were here.
Then we will descend 4 meters underground to be on the same level as the cobbled roads of Krakow in the 12th-13th centuries.
After a lunch break, we will visit Wawel - the seat of Polish kings.
The castle has also become one of the most important museums in Poland. It collects paintings, graphics, sculptures, fabrics, goldsmiths, militaria, porcelain and furniture.

The Krakow Undergrounds Museum on the Market Square, opened in 2010, is a kind of archaeological park where you can observe pictures of the life of a large, bustling medieval city. With the help of modern technology, the authors of the project created the ideal illusion of a lively medieval city. At a depth of several metres below the surface of the Main Market Square, from the Cloth Hall to St Mary’s Church, awaits a true treasure trove of information on Kraków’s past. In 4000-square-meters underground there are streets and stands of thousands years old, and there is atmosphere of the market square - you can hear merchants talking and carts creaking. Scales, coins, clothes, jeweleries and even human remains - all the artefacts were found during the excavations.
