Lanzarote Introductory Scuba Diving Experience
Overview
Experience the thrill of scuba diving for the first time on this 2 hour excursion. Accompanied with a SSI instructor at all times, practice basic scuba diving techniques in shallow waters before heading off to explore Playa Chica Bay. Discover the magnificent marine life Lanzarote has to offer in its crystal clear waters. During the dive you can see parrotfish, ornate wrasse, damselfish and more. Enjoy small groups with 2 students per instructor (6 guests total).

What To Expect
You will go on a discover scuba dive to 5 metres for 30-35 minutes with your SSI instructor and look at the marine life Lanzarote has to offer.
When you arrive at the dive centre we will complete paperwork, including a brief medical history. After that is completed your SSI instructor will give you a briefing explaining to you about scuba diving and the dive you are about to go on. We will then find a wetsuit, mask, fins and boots that fit you. We will then stroll down to Playa Chica where we will put the equipment on and walk into waist deep water. We will practice the breathing and when you are comfortable we will go underneath the water where we will practice 3 skills with you. We will then go for a dive to 6 metres for 30 - 35 minutes. Along the way we will stop off along the way and see the different fish Playa Chica has to offer. You may see sea bream, parrotfish, damselfish, flounders, ornate wrasse.

- Please bring swimwear, towel, and a change of clothes
- Minimum age is 10 years

Participants in the Lanzarote Introductory Scuba Diving Experience cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.

- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
