Sumburgh Head Lighthouse

The southernmost point of the Shetland Mainland, Sumburgh Head posed as a hotel in the series. The actual Sumburgh Hotel was also used for filming, but posed as a care home.Sumburgh Head is home to one of the largest colonies of seabirds in the isles, and in summer is a regular haunt for Puffins. On a clear day, you'll be able to see as far out as Fair Isle, where Jimmy Perez was said to have hailed from.In the summer months, there is a visitor centre and small cafe (admission not included)
