Quinta da Regaleira

The palace is located on the hillside and a short distance from the historic center of Sintra, being classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. Quinta da Regaleira was built between 1904 and 1910, in the last period of the monarchy. With 4 hectares, the palace is surrounded by lush gardens, lakes, caves and enigmatic buildings, which conceal alchemical meanings, such as those evoked by Freemasonry, Templars and Rosicrucian.
