Hello! I’m Stephanie, the creator of Pictouring™. As an architect and passionate photographer, I’m excited to guide you through Alfama on a unique experience that invites you to explore, observe, and discover the city while experimenting with instant photography. You’ll be the photographer, creating at least ten unique prints to proudly share and take home, while I offer my expertise and creative spirit to help you capture spectacular photographs of Lisbon’s oldest district.

I'll equip you with Fujifilm’s Instax Mini Evo instant camera, teach you how to use it—no previous photography experience needed— and together, we’ll wander Alfama’s narrow, cobbled streets, capturing the essence of this historic quarter.

Our photo walk ends in the public space in front of the Casa dos Bicos, where there are green spaces or cafés for us to gather and sit comfortably, for you to choose the photographs that you want to print and take home.

What To Expect

Arco do Castelo

We'll meet under the Arco do Castelo, where we'll begin our photo walk. Although we won’t enter the Castelo de São Jorge (there is an admission fee), we will explore the beautiful Castelo neighborhood and walk along the existing fortified walls. Here, I'll provide you with your Instax camera and show you how to use it. In this initial part of our photo walk, you’ll start experimenting with the camera's filters and effects. I’ll help you choose a theme for your photographs to focus your attention and truly observe your surroundings.

Along this street is the Castelo São Jorge's Alcáçova wall, an integral part of Lisbon's historic fortifications.
