Painting class at an Art Gallery in Lisbon
Overview
The fact that we enable this experience in an environment of art gallery and simultaneously artist studio, enables the most curious of this matter to perceive the dynamics of studio and presentation of final works for sale in gallery. Cristina is an architect, and although her artistic work covers various themes, drawing and paintings about Lisbon are one of her work focuses, including works on exhibition in other galleries.
This is an event that can be organized for individuals or for a group of people and that can be customized for you. For example, a celebration of a special day, or simply a moment of conviviality among friends. If you are a wine lover, you can purchase bottles of regional wine on site and enjoy a glass of Portuguese-produced wine during the class.
At the end of the class you will take your artwork with you.

What To Expect
This art class is a time to explore and be in touch with different materials and let your creativity flow. There is no need for prior knowledge of painting, being suitable for beginners or more experienced.
The class takes place in an Art Gallery where Cristina's studio is also located. Here, you can also be in contact with the work of other artists that are on display at the gallery.
What will we do?
In the first hour, the essential basics that the guest needs to know to build a strong aesthetic look will be explained: color theory, value, composition and layering. We will do some exercises to relax and prepare for the final work.
Then we will work on Fabriano paper or stretched canvas 30x40cm. I'll show you how to mix paints and choose a color palette. We will paint with brushes, colored pencils and use materials that allow us to test different textures.
All stages of the production of the painting are accompanied by me, Cristina.
At the end of the class, the guest will take his finished and signed canvas with him as a souvenir of this experience together with the certificate of authenticity of his work issued by the Gallery.
