What To Expect

Big Blue Diving offers the Discover Scuba Diving program from the boat, which is the maximum that can be done by non-certified divers. Also this program is not a diving course which ends in a certification, but the participant will receive a theoretical introduction. Afterwards, the participant will go out to sea by boat for 2 dives. The 1st dive is in shallow water to get familiar with the diving equipment and to do first exercises. The 2nd dive can be done to a maximum depth of 12 m. To enrol in a Discover Scuba Diving program from the boat you must be at least 10 years old. You do not need any previous diving experience, but you must be in good health and should be able to swim !
The program takes about 4 hours in total.

Participants in the Discover Scuba Diving from the Boot - XL version cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.

The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
