On this tour you will learn about Lahaina's time as the capital of the Kingdom of Hawaii and what it was like to live as a Christian Missionary in the 1800s.
The tour will take approximately two hours depending on your pace. Just pause the audio guide whenever you fancy spending longer at a sight, grabbing a bite to eat or doing some shopping along the way. There are many great sights to see in Lahaina. Here are just a few of them. Highlight One: The beginning point of the tour, the white and green-trimmed Baldwin House Museum is the oldest house still standing in Lahaina. Highlight Two: Pioneer Inn has been the resting place of tourists, soldiers, sailors, and even movie stars. Banyan Tree Court is home to a more than 150 year old banyan tree that is also the largest in the United States and is a popular gathering point for Lahaina locals and tourists alike. Highlight Four: The white Waine'e church, complete with cross on the front, is one of the first churches in Lahaina and is where Christianity began for the city. This is just a taste of what this fascinating tour has to offer.
