What To Expect

You will create your own Frida Kahlo portrait using watercolour in Coyoacán. All supplies provided! Beginner-friendly.

This workshop is approximately 2.5 hours long and the itinerary is:

1. Frida Brief History: I will briefly go over the life and art of Frida Kahlo including reflecting on some of her iconic artworks and why she became so iconic.
2. Warmup & Practice: We warm up where I teach you how to paint leaves, 3 different types of flowers, petals and roses.
3. Then I teach you how to draw the Frida portrait. If you prefer to use a traceable Frida, you may choose that option instead of drawing.
4. Frida Kahlo Portrait Painting: I will guide you to paint Frida with watercolour step, by step and you can customize it to make it your own.
5. Final: Complete final details and allow to dry!
