It is a New Spain civil palace from the 16th century, a historical monument located in Cuernavaca, Morelos (Mexico), ordered to be built by Hernán Cortés in the immediate years after the Conquest of Mexico. The Temple of Santa Prisca is a colonial monument that is located in the city of Taxco de Alarcón, in the north of the state of Guerrero, Mexico. It is a building built in the 1750s (more precisely, between the years 1751 and 1758), dedicated to Catholic worship in that town whose main activity was - and continues to be - silver mining.The construction was ordered by José de la Borda, one of the most prosperous mining entrepreneurs in the Taxco region in the 18th century.
