Discover the local way of life on this intimate full-day Moorea tour with a local guide. What To Expect

Moorea Maori Tours

Hop aboard your guides private outrigger and set for your fishing, snorkeling and paddling expedition. Your guide will teach you how to paddle like a local as well as fish with a net, if weather and swell conditions are good, as you catch your lunch for the day. Return to the island stopping briefly in the lagoon where you will have time to snorkel and see additional fish and shellfish, traditional in any Polynesian meal. If the weather is unfavorable, your guide will instead take you to a range of archaeological sites and teach you about the history and legends of Moorea.As you arrive back on the island, take a short drive to a local home where you will learn how to make coconut milk and prepare your traditional Polynesian lunch of grilled fish, Tahitian coconut milk raw fish and local vegetables. After lunch, visit your local guides “Fa'apu”, an organic plantation where you will indulge in a range of seasonal fresh fruits. Be returned to your hotel between 4:00 and 5:00 pm.
