Overview

 The Amalfi Coast is a 50 km stretch of coast south of the Sorrento Peninsula, in the Campania region. Famous holiday destination, it is characterized by steep cliffs and a jagged coast dotted with small beaches and pastel-colored fishing villages. The coastal road between the port city of Salerno and the rocky ridge of Sorrento winds among sumptuous villas, terraced vineyards and lemon groves overlooking the sea. The tour includes 1 hour stops for each of the planned cities. In Amalfi a walk in the center is recommended where you will find a course with typical places for shopping or take a seat at a bar to taste the famous Italian ice cream, after Amalfi we will reach Conca dei Marini to visit the shapely Emerald Grotto in this magnificent basin. visit to the ceramic factory on request. Amalfi

This tour starts from the agreed point in the morning and our first stop is Amalfi. The journey to Amalfi will take 90/120 minutes (depending on traffic). You will have free time to explore the ancient "Marine Republic" (or Republic of the Sea). Visit the Cathedral of Sant'Andrea (amalfitano patron saint) of the eleventh century with incredible golden and luminous decorations, walk in the labyrinth of small alleys where you can go shopping and buy souvenirs or simply eat an ice cream. On the coast you can also think about your lunch, you just have to talk to the driver to organize a nice place for your meal. (we recommend the tasting of limoncello liqueurs in the shop / factory)

Grotta dello Smeraldo

The Emerald Grotto, one of the gems of the Amalfi Coast in the enchanting bay of the Conca dei Marini. Discovered in 1932 by a local fisherman, this sea cave is known for the turquoise water that fills the cave with an emerald green light when the sun's rays filter through a crack below its surface. The interior of the cave is full of stalagmites, stalactites and strange "works of art" created by time and nature. There is an underwater nativity scene, made in handcrafted ceramic by nearby Vietri. The Emerald Grotto can be visited inside only with rowboats from the cave itself.
