It is a scenic boulevard that runs through the cultural center of Philadelphia. Named for Benjamin Franklin's favorite son, the mile-long parkway runs diagonally through a quadrant of Center City. It starts at Philadelphia City Hall, curves around Logan Circle, and ends before reaching the Philadelphia Museum of Art. The Parkway is the backbone of the Philadelphia District Museum. Some of the city's most famous landmarks are here: Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, Swann Memorial Fountain, Philadelphia Public Library, Franklin Institute, Moore College of Art and Design, Academy of Natural Sciences, Museum Rodin, Eakins Oval, the Barnes Foundation and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Rocky Statue

They are the front steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and famous because they appear in films like Rocky II, III, V, Rocky Balboa and Creed (Rocky VII) in which the protagonist climbs the stairs to the rhythm of the song "Gonna Fly Now" . Tourists and even citizens themselves often imitate Rocky climbing the steps. A bronze statue of Rocky was temporarily placed for the movie Rocky III.
