Come join us and enjoy the best paddle boarding experience Waikiki can offer! The Group Lesson is an affordable way for participants 13 and older to try paddle boarding for the first or 50th time. Our group lessons offer that perfect mix of individual attention in a team environment. Everyone improves and everyone has fun. Our group sizes vary, but have a ratio of 1 instructor for every 4 students. With our high-quality boards, reef shoes and rash-guard shirts, instruction and video-viewing, and best-in-class, professional guides, we provide the ultimate group paddle boarding lesson.

Meeting and Pickup
We offer a courtesy pickup from Waikiki from our four standard pickup locations 10-45 minutes prior to your lesson time:(1) Ilikai Hotel (2) Romer Waikiki at the Ambassador Hotel (3) Don Ho Lane Van Depot (4) Hyatt RegencyFor customers staying at the Ala Moana Hotel, Hale Koa Hotel, Kahala Hotel and Resort, The Ritz Carlton or The Ka La'i Waikiki Beach, we may be able to arrange a special pickup closer to the hotel with a notification call or email at least 24 hours in advance.If either the customer or accompanying guest has a handicap or injury and needs to arrange a special pickup, please call or email us with 24 hours notice and we are more than happy to come directly to your hotel.

What To Expect
Jump on the Surf School Bus and we will get you from wherever you're staying in Waikiki to the beach and up and riding! We offer a complimentary courtesy shuttle. Our knowledgeable staff will meet you at one of our convenient hotel pick-up locations. You’ll be stoked to ride in our air-conditioned, clean, easy-to-spot yellow Surf School Bus or white shuttle with our logo on the side. After our friendly staff introduce themselves, we will shuttle you to our Ohana Surf Center located in the Waikiki Beach Marriott. From there you will get checked-in, geared up and then will be shuttled to the beach for some stand-up paddle boarding!
Once by the ocean, you will meet your instructor and talk about your previous experience, swimming strength or any other concerns or conditions, then we’ll have you walk your high quality lesson boards to the beach. When you’re comfortable and ready, we leash ourselves to the board and into the water we go!
After the lesson, you’ll be taken back to the Ohana Surf Center where you can check out photographs, videos, or buy some merch for yourself or friends. Then after your purchases are made, we drive you back to one of our convenient drop off locations.

- 2 person minimum. Must be 13 years or older and able to swim to join the Open Group Lesson.
- If any participants cannot swim please advise the staff ahead of time as a private lesson will be recommended.
- If any participants have any medical conditions or injuries that we should be aware of please advise the staff ahead of time.
- If you are prone to seasickness, you may want to take a remedy you are accustomed to using before the lesson (talk to your doctor for recommendations).
- Please come prepared for the lesson by wearing your bathing suit, bringing a towel and making sure to apply sunscreen ahead of time.
- All of our written materials are also available in Spanish, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. With at least 24 hours notice, we will do our best to accommodate Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese speaking-instructors.
- Complimentary transportation is available from select locations in Waikiki. Exact pick-up location and time will be emailed to you by the supplier. If you do not receive these details 24 hours prior to your lesson, please contact us.
