Overview

This private scenic tour combines the best of Oslo attractions and the beautiful scenic area of Tyrifjord and Jevnaker. The main attraction of the tour is the Kistefos Museum and Gallery. We'll do a guided tour through the outdoor sculpture park and of course the highlight "The Twist" . This is a spectacular "twisted" building or bridge across the river containing modern art.

The Twist is listed in New Your times as nr 21 out of 50 of "things to see" in 2020.

For a light lunch (cake/coffee) either to Kistefos or when returning we can recommend the Kleivstua Restaurant close to the Queens View.

In Oslo we recommend focus on the famous Vigeland Sculpture Park and the Viking Ship Museum. However since private tour, guests can choose.

Entrances are included in the tour price.

Fram Museum

Polar exploration was important in late 1800 and early 1900. There was a race to conquer the North pole and the South pole. In the Polar Museum you find the two authentic polar ships Fram (-forward) and Gjøa. Rewarded "The best museum in Norway". The most impressive is that we can enter the original 130 years old ship and get the polar feeling forced onto us by the multimedla film above us showing the combined drama of sea, wind, ice bergs and northern light.

The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet (Pass By)

Oslo city centre is quite small. We recommend picking a hotel in or close to the city centre (which we can book). Oslo is made for strolling around, and of course we will guide you. Here is our modern opera building, evoking an ice berg rising up from the sea. You can even can walk on the marble roof.

The main reason for Oslo's development during the last 500 years is the Aker River splitting the city in two. The lowest parts occupied by the "hipsters".

Sorting, ranking, and search results

Activity name

City Boat Tours wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That's why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.

On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You'll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.

If you see a Badge of Excellence label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through City Boat Tours over a 12-month period.

The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We're always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
