Paris Body and Souls Exhibition Guided Visit Pinault Collection
Overview
Have we been representing the body in new ways since the 1950s?
Certainly.
Inspired by the anti-racism movements of the 1960s and those against sexism of the 1970s, curator Emma Lavigne examines representations of the body through some forty artists such as Kerry James Marshall, Duane Hanson, and Zanele Muholi.
Whether photographed, drawn, painted, or filmed, the body has become a means allowing artists to make individuals visible.
By discovering this exceptional selection of works at the Bourse du Commerce, everyone can become aware that they are rewriting certain art histories.
You will be greeted in front of the Bourse du Commerce 10 minutes before the start of the tour. I will be delighted to accompany you through the different parts of the exhibition, introduce you to the artists' journeys and chat with you in front of the works for 1, 1.5, or 2 hours, depending on your preference.
The price of the tour includes the ticket, and you can then remain in the exhibition if you wish.
