Napoleon contributed a lot to the development of the museum with passing a few thefts…Many of these incredible pieces have not been returned to their country of origin. They can still be admired at the Museum. Finally, the Louvre holds a very large number of works created to tell the Emperor’s legend like "The coronation". These masterpieces constitute a remarkable support to reveal Napoleon's life. There are so many links with Napoleon at the Louvre that in the end we have the impression that he never really left the place.
