Overview

Thanks to this special day trip you will discover all the things you don’t expect from Umbria!
In a lovely farmhouse among the olive trees, we will learn the biological phases from the grain to the grind, learn to recognize the various types of flour, the flour processing techniques, and experience the flour processing into typical Umbrian pasta. Our chef will tell us all about their farm and will teach us how to prepare different types of pasta; she will teach us the secrets to making it well and will give us advice on preparing the right sauce for each type.
The quad adventure will let us experience Umbria in a different way and let us see a bit of nature in the green heart of Italy. It is a guided excursion that does not require any special driving skills, after a few minutes you will be at ease and you will have a great time. During the excursion an aperitif in the woods.

What To Expect

In the morning we will reach a lovely farmhouse among the olive trees, where animals are raised in the wild and food is grown without using pesticides. Here, after a guided visit to the farm, we will get in touch with the Umbrian culinary traditions: we will learn the biological phases from the grain to the grind, learn to recognize the various types of flour, the flour processing techniques, and experience the flour processing into typical Umbrian pasta. At the end of the class, we’ll enjoy a delicious lunch with the result of our work and other typical products!
After lunch, we will reach Assisi for an adventurous activity to discover the nature surrounding mount Subasio. We will have a guided quad excursion of about one hour in Mount Subasio with a pleasant stop in the middle of the forest for an aperitif included. This activity will give us the chance to live an unexpected side of Umbria and no special skills are required.
