Overview
Canyoning is a mountain river descent where you will adventure yourself along the riverbed using different tecnhiques and aproaches, such as walking, jumping, sliding and rope maneuveurs. All along the River you will find times to experience jumping, sliding or rappelling in waterfalls into crystalline water lagoons. On this particular River you will have the chance to challenge yourself at your own measure, thanks to its easy acesses and limited and optional difficulty since many of its obstacles can be walked around. Enjoy the pristine nature you will find along the River and have fun with your family and friends in this refreshing summer adventure!
Canyoning in Rio Vessadas
In this small creek hidden in the mountains in the North of Portugal, you will be get into a incredible landscape. Pristine nature, crystal clear water lagoons and waterfalls, into a native and well preserved forest. It's a special spot!

Option with Pick-up at the Hotel, the Pick-up will occur at 8h00. Options with Pick-up at Vimara Peres Statue will occur at 8h30. Your driver will be holding a white plate with the "JUST COME" logo.

What To Expect
This tour will start in Porto, where you will meet your professional driver that will take you high up on the mountains in the Arouca Unesco Geopark straight to your meeting point with your Activity Guide. After a brief explanation on how the activity will proceed, your guide will drive you, in a 4x4, across the mountains and head straight to the River near Manhouce Village, where you will receive every equipment that you will need. On arriving at the river, after a brief but important safety briefing you will adventure yourself on the Waterfalls that make this River so exciting! Along the way you will find times to relax, times to challenge yourself and times to have fun with your tour mates.
Typical Lunch - Arouca's Great Gastronomy!
At the end of your adventure, your guide will take you into Arouca Center where you will have the opportunity to taste one of Arouca's best dishes, before your driver dropping you on Porto., you'll delight yourself with the traditional "Arouquesa Roasted Veal", in a typical restaurant (included in the option "With Lunch"). For desert, you'll taste some of the ancient Conventual Pastry, next to it's origin, the Arouca's Santa Maria Monastery.
