What To Expect

Sao Bento Railway Station

São Bento Station, and originally Porto Central Station, is an interface of the Minho Line, which serves the city of Porto, in Portugal. Located in Praça de Almeida Garrett, in the Historic Center of Porto, the station has established itself as one of the main monuments in the city, being especially famous for its tile panels. The French-influenced building is the work of the Porto architect José Marques da Silva. Cais da Ribeira

Considered one of the oldest squares in the city, Praça and Cais da Ribeira were already mentioned in royal charters from 1389. Igreja dos Carmelitas

The Church of the Carmelites began to be built in 1616 and was completed in 1628. The interior decoration would only be ready in 1650. It was classified as a National Monument on May 3, 2013, together with the Igreja do Carmo built after the from 1752, both Churches being joined by the so-called Casa Escondida do Porto, just over a meter wide.The church belonged to the extinct convent, now occupied by the Republican National Guard.
