    Ponte de Dom Luis I

    The mythical bridge! Transport and communications architecture, 19th century. 19. Iron bridge, for road, rail and pedestrian traffic, made up of two metallic decks, supported by a large iron arch and five pillars. The decks located at different levels, and with different dimensions, adapting to the riverbanks, allow access to different points in the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia. The entire structure is made up of straight and parabolic beams, filled with other vertical beams supported by others that are crossed or perpendicular. The construction of the bridge played with the deep valley in which it is inserted, through two decks, placed at different heights and lengths. A tour that will stay in your memory forever.

    Ponte D. Maria Pia (Pass By)

    The D. Maria Pia Bridge is a railway infrastructure that carried the Northern Line over the Douro River, between the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, in the north of Portugal. It was inaugurated on November 4, 1877 and closed on June 24, 1991, having been replaced by the São João Bridge. It is considered, along with the Garabit Viaduct, as the greatest masterpieces executed by the engineer Gustave Eiffel. At the time of its inauguration, it was the bridge with the largest iron arch in the world. It has been classified as a National Monument since 1982.

    Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar (Pass By)

    The Monastery of Serra do Pilar was created after the reform of the Order of Augustinians, when the monks of the monastery of Grijó were transferred to the new location. Construction of this new monastery began in 1537, which features a plan consisting of the church, circular in plan, the chancel, rectangular in plan, and the cloister, also circular in plan, all arranged sequentially. It is considered one of the most notable buildings of classical European architecture due to its circular church and cloister. In 1809 the space of the monastery was occupied by Wellington's troops, when the Portuguese army's attack on the city of Porto, then occupied by Napoleon's troops, was planned. During the 20th century, the monastery was the object of several conservation and restoration campaigns and is included in the Historic Center of Porto, inscribed by Unesco on the World Heritage List.
