This is our meeting point and the place where we start our tour. A place of history, where almost 800 years ago the Cathedral of Porto was built. The city initially grew from this hill, the Morro da Pena Ventosa.

From the meeting point we go down towards the Douro river, we will pass in one of the most beautiful squares of the city, the Infante D. Henrique square (with its statue). We will observe two historical buildings of mandatory visit: the Palácio da Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace) and the Church of St. Francis (14th century).

Now we follow the right bank of the river, we will have the opportunity to appreciate the beautiful houses built on the slope of the Douro. Our route follows the riverside, after passing through the Massarelos neighborhood, we spot the unique and fantastic Arrábida Bridge, designed by the renowned Porto engineer, Edgar Cardoso. In the 60s (20th century), it was considered one of the bridges with the longest arch built in reinforced concrete in the world.

We arrive at another neighborhood, in ancient times, it was a typical fishing neighborhood, very close to the mouth of the river, it is called: Lordelo do Ouro. We will pause at this beautiful viewpoint over the Douro estuary - watch and record the landscape! From here we can see the Local Natural Reserve of the Douro Estuary, the fishing district S. Pedro da Afurada, the Calém Garden, among other points of interest.
