Santiago de Compostela is the capital of the Galicia region, in northwestern Spain. It is known as the culmination of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route and the supposed burial site of the biblical apostle Saint James. His remains are found in the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, consecrated in 1211, whose elaborately carved stone facades open onto large squares within the old city's medieval walls.

What To Expect
After meeting at your hotel we will head towards the north of Spain with the first stop in Valença (Portugal), a historical place bordering Spain where we will visit the Fortress of Valença being one of the main military fortifications in Europe, with about 5 km of walled perimeter, overlooking the river Minho, in front of the Spanish village of Tui. A galaico-minhoto, commercial and tourist living space par excellence.
We cross the Spanish border through Vigo and then arrive at Santiago de Compostela, a famous city for its majestic Cathedral, which houses the tomb of Santiago Maior, one of the Apostles of Christ, patron saint and protector of Spain. This city, classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is home to thousands of pilgrims from around the world who make the Caminhos de Santiago.
The Capital of Galicia is also home to one of Spain’s most prestigious universities, hence the presence of many students who fill the Cathedral square with music and joy. We will walk through the small streets where we can taste some typical dishes.
After visiting the Cathedral we will return to Porto where we will finish the trip in the desired place.
