  • IMPORTANT: A valid International Driving Permit (IDP) is mandatory to drive a vespa, and must contain a photo. This is a legal requirement to drive in Italy.
  • A driving license is required with a minimum of 1 year’s experience.
  • The rental company requires a €500 (per Vespa) security deposit to be blocked on the driver’s credit card for insurance purposes. Please bring an active card which will be held throughout the duration of your tour.
  • Please wear comfortable clothes and prepare to wear a helmet the entire ride.
  • You must have experience driving a scooter on busy roads to take this tour without a driver.
  • In order to book this experience, you must be at least 2 participants.
  • Each Vespa has two seats, one for the driver and one for a potential passenger.
  • Each adult/student booked will be given a Vespa to drive themselves
  • Any “passenger” booked must have a driver. The driver may be someone in your group, or you may choose to “add-on” a private driver, who will drive the Vespa for you.You may not book more “passengers” than drivers
  • The guide will drive his/her own Vespa and will not carry a passenger.
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
