You go down, a road pavement, opus reticulatum walls (dating to the Augustan period), brick walls (slightly later than the Augustan period) and a series of other structures referable to the full imperial age (we are in the period in which the Optimus Princeps, Trajan, i.e. between the 1st century AD and the 2nd century AD).

The real discovery takes place by passing through the sacristy door and going down the stairs to access the crypt located exactly below the presbytery.
