Overview

The Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano is the most important church in Rome.
Seat of the Pope until the construction of the current St. Peter's Basilica in 1500 was founded in the fourth century.
It must absolutely be visited together with the Scala Santa, the holiest place in Rome, or the staircase Jesus walked to get to Pontius Pilate, where he was condemned.
Afterwards we will take you to the basements as spectacular as they are unknown, namely the Domus dating between the first and fourth centuries AD.C.,
The best aqueducts of the imperial period arrived in the area, it was rich in water and therefore provided with fountains and spas.
We will visit the Domus Annorum, an extraordinary site where you can see the shoe prints of a Roman soldier.
We will walk in a large peristyle with porch, with capitals and fragments of columns and marble fences.
We will continue our visit to the Horti di Domitia Lucilla, a site that preserves an example of a large reservoir, unique in the whole city of Rome..
