Overview
Experience ice fishing in the peaceful nature of Lapland, expect to hear the voice of nature there. Your guide will introduce and instruct you on all the know-hows of ice fishing, including how to properly use the special tools and equipment such as the ice drill. After the instructions you may begin your ice fishing excavation to try your luck. While you enjoy your ice fishing, your guide will prepare an open fire to BBQ some Lappish sausages!

Meeting and Pickup
Pick up service is available from the listed hotels. Pick up time from hotels is always before the starting time of the safari. You will receive your pick up point & time via Viator message. Failure to participate in the safari due to missed pick up point or time will not be refunded. If you need pick up from hotels, please meet the guide at your hotel reception on time; if you need pick up from meeting point, please find the guide at our office downstairs on time (Sunny Safari Office, Tähtikuja 1, 96930 Rovaniemi).

Our guide will provide you with instructions for a fishing session and explain you how to use the necessary tools, such as the ice drill. After the instructions you may begin your fishing experience and test your luck!

Yes. Whatever the fishing calls for: live bait, frozen bait, cut bait, or chum, our Charter Captains will have plentiful supplies on hand. The same thing goes for artificial bait such as lures, flies, or plugs.
Jul 2022If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
