Overview
Whale watching in the North Coast of São Miguel is a unique way of exploring the Azorean seas. Our goal is to get revive as much as possible, how the activity was done back in the early days of Whale Watching.
Starting in the north coast also means we are now working on areas of the island, usually not used for this kind of experiences, therefore benefiting the local communities. This is help us to create an even more sustainable aproach to how we should operate in the context of our island.
As soon as our spotters give us the go-ahead, the adventure is on! We guarantee large species of whales such as Sperm-Whales.

What To Expect
Join us in the North Sea and rediscover the excitement of an expedition to observe the giants of our ocean! Revive the early days of Whale Watching at the Azores.
Known for its unruly seas, the north coast presents challenges that make this expedition an authentic adventure. From assessing the conditions of the sea, to the moment when our spotter gives the order to leave, this activity celebrates the memory of the first whale watching trips in our archipelago, having as a starting point the fishing village of Rabo de Peixe.
As soon as our lookout gives us the go-ahead, we guarantee adventure, discovery, and the thrill of watching whales aboard one of our semi-rigid boats.

As an active member of the Dolphin SMART program, we do not have physical contact with the dolphins on Whale Watching Activity in North Coast. We watch them in their natural habitat from the boat.
Dec 2022If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
- Any changes made less than 24 hours before the tour start time will not be accepted.
- Cut-off times are based on the tour local time (+00).
